10-Day Program!

Find out if you have what it takes to be a paleontologist by exploring the fossil beds of central and eastern Oregon. Search for undiscovered plant and animal specimens of the early- to mid-Cenozoic era, learn how to unearth and prepare fossil samples, and work in the field to unlock the secrets of Oregon’s incredible past. Each camper will participate in small teams to choose a topic, search for evidence, and create their own research project. This program includes a multi-day excursion around the areas of the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument.
